Recipients Announced for American Society of Landscape Architects 2004 Awards

The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) has announced therecipients of its 2003 awards programs. A nine-member jury led by Carol Mayer-Reed,FSLA, a principle at Portland-based Mayer/Reed, selected only 33 projects outof 436 entries to receive awards. Philadelphia's Olin Partnership garnered fourawards including the landmark prize for Battery Park City's masterplan andesplanade, whereas Sausalito, Calif.-based SWA Group netted three awards, amongthem a design excellence nod for Fidelity Investment's Corporate Campus inWestlake, Tx. A formal awards presentation will take place at the ASLA's annualmeeting, held Oct. 30-Nov. 3 in New Orleans.
